Can I send you Ableton format files?
Only if you use Ableton's plugins. External AU/VST plugins will not work.
How can I learn from this as I want to do my mix myself?
You'll learn a lot; you'll hear exactly how your track is supposed to sound so you will have a clear reference for your future tracks. I can also provide written feedback.
Why are your prices so affordable?
Because I believe that new upcoming artists have the right to access quality services. I'm currently happy with how are going and my prices are OK with me. Yes, they're lower than the industry's standards, but it doesn't mean I put in less effort.
What does "mixing style" mean?
Clients who only want their song to have potential mixing issues fixed (phase, clipping, conflicts, etc.) should select "transparent", but if you feel your work needs a good facelift to sound like your favorite songs, select "coloured"—it will be the same song, but enhanced.
Can I have multiple versions of my track?
There are 2 revisions included in the pricing. People can use revisions to fix issues or to ask different versions of their track: instrumental, accapella, less bass, different kick, etc. You can buy more revisions too as we go. Since analog is time consuming, I will send multiple tests of your song and once we like the results, I'll do the final bounce.
What is the consultation?
30 minutes of discussion on any topic with me by video (Zoom, recorded for future consultation). People like to talk about the project or ask technical questions but anything can go.
Can I book you before my song is done?
Yes and that would be a very good move. Committing to work with me will force you to put your project to term as well as I can check your project, do a rough mix session (part of the revisions) and then you will find easier to finish your track as it will sound good.
What are the effects use option? Can you do sound design while mixing?
There's a lot of benefits of using high quality plugins instead of stock ones included in your DAW. I am an obsessed collector and will be happy to propose you a better range of reverbs, delays, etc. I can also reproduce to my best efforts, some songs you like. Sound design comes with the service of track finalization, as well as structure edits. With my mixer I also use outboard, hardware effects (Lexicon).
Why is there a hiss on the mix?
This comes from the equipment. It is part of the analog charm. Some people don't like it and I'd recommend you to take a digital mix instead. I can't easily remove it.
“Just finished up a 4-track EP mixdown with Pheek as my first experience working with him. It's really quite simple- you are receiving professional and expert quality work at an extremely reasonable price. Processes and communications are clear and concise, and he cares to make sure you are satisfied with...” Read more

The difference between analog and digital is hard to explain, and there are many debates about the subject online. What I can tell you is that I use a tape emulation machine and EQ to do the external treatment for the analog mixdown. This usually adds a certain warmth to the overall sound, and it helps to address thin or harsh sounds.
The Gear I use: I use the analog mixing console Zähl AM1, Cranesong gear, as well as an SSL compressor, TubeTech Multiband and Gyratek IV (EQ) to give your music that analog sound. I also use an old board to add warmth, and I have access to Manley Vari-Mu.
