Collaborative Song Production with an Experienced Music Producer.
.Let’s get your music unstuck. Refine your workflow, sharpen your sound, and actually finish your tracks with direct help from an experienced producer based in Montreal.
Your Song Is More Than a File. It’s a Process.
Most unfinished songs aren’t unfinished because they’re bad. They’re unfinished because they live in isolation.
You work alone, you doubt your decisions, you loop, you hesitate, you postpone. Not because you lack talent — but because creative work often needs dialogue, reflection, and another musical mind in the room.
This service exists to bring collaboration back into the creative process — not by taking control away from you, but by creating a shared space where your ideas can evolve with clarity and direction.
A Real Collaboration, Not a Delegation
This is not a service where you send a song and receive a finished product.
This is a collaborative production experience, where we work together in real time via Zoom to:
- Develop your idea into a complete song
- Make artistic and technical decisions together
- Explore possibilities you might not have access to alone
- Help you understand the production process as it unfolds
You stay involved.
You stay in control.
You keep ownership of your music.
What This VIP Experience Includes
Collaborative Song Production Sessions (1h30 each)
Each session is a shared working session where we open your project and build it together.
Included:
- Song expertise and artistic guidance from Pheek
- Access to professional tools and equipment to expand creative possibilities
- Real-time explanations of creative, musical, and technical decisions
- Shared control over artistic direction — no imposed style or outcome
- You keep the final project (Ableton Live 12 format)
- All sessions are recorded for later review
The song is worked on during the session. Any additional work outside the session is billed separately.
Why This Way of Working Matters
Traditional music creation has always been collaborative: composers worked with musicians, producers worked with artists, ideas were shaped through conversation.
This service restores that tradition in a modern context.
You don’t just get a finished track — you gain insight into how decisions are made, how structure emerges, and how a song becomes whole.
It’s not only about finishing music. It’s about learning how to finish music.
Is This the Right Fit for You as an artist?
This experience is for you if:
- You have strong musical ideas but struggle to complete them
- You want to collaborate without losing artistic ownership
- You value process as much as results
- You want to understand production, not outsource it
- You are open to dialogue, feedback, and shared creation
This is not a fit if you’re looking for someone to “just finish your track for you” without your involvement.
How to Start
Because this is a collaborative and selective process, an initial step is required.
Step 1 — Submit Your Projects
Prepare 5 projects you would like to be considered.
- Book an initial consultation
- Export 1-minute loops from each project
- Send them via a transfer service of your choice
- Email them to info@pheek.com
We will review them together and decide which project is best suited for collaborative development.
Please note:
- Some projects may be too early or too simple to start collaborative production
- Some genres may not be suitable for this format
- You may be asked to develop the idea further before starting
The project starts upon mutual approval.

About Pheek
Pheek began exploring electronic music in the early 1980s, influenced by New York electro and hip-hop culture. He started DJing in 1987, began producing music in 1990, and has been working under the name Pheek since 1998.
His work is rooted in long-term practice, deep listening, and artistic transmission.
Over the years, he has developed a calm and thoughtful approach to music-making, focused on clarity, intention, and respect for the creative process.
His mentoring is shaped by decades of experimentation, listening, and reflection — not just on how music is made, but on how artists grow.
He believes that meaningful progress comes from understanding, not from rushing or following trends.
This perspective is what he brings into every session.
He has recently launched a new space on Patreon to share deeper reflections, resources, and ongoing guidance for artists who want to go further.
FAQ
Most frequent questions and answers
This consultation is for electronic music producers, composers, and sound designers at any level — from beginners to experienced artists — who want clarity, feedback, and guidance to move forward. This service is centered around working on a song, track or piece of music of any format.
If you feel stuck, overwhelmed by tools, uncertain about your direction, or simply want an experienced outside ear, this service is designed for you.
Not at all, because working with an experienced producer who can help with limitations, will speed up your process.
The consultation adapts entirely to your level and your needs. I work with beginners too.
Whether you are just starting out or already releasing music, the session is shaped around where you are and what will help you most right now.
The consultation is tool-agnostic and focuses on musical thinking, sound design principles, and creative process. Some people make music on their iPad and that works.
That said, Ableton Live (which I master inside out since 2001) is what I used to do arrangements, and modular synthesis, hardware, and other DAWs (Reaper, Reason, FLStudio, Studio One) can also be used depending on your setup.
You can prepare:
- A project you are working that is either at it’s early stage or just stuck in the process of wrapping up.
- One or multiple references songs you love for different reasons.
- Upload some of your music on a private playlist for coherence.
- The time you spend with Pheek.
- The recording of the session as well as notes.
- The modified project.
- A rendering of the project where we left it at the end of the session.
- 24h email support following the session.
Yes as well as notes taken by AI assistant. The recording is only accessible to you and Pheek.
Yes with a strong emphasis on creative thinking and musical understanding.
Rather than only showing how to use tools, the goal is to help you understand why you use them, how to listen better, and how to make clearer artistic decisions. I follow what you need to get where you want to go.
Some people learn faster by watching someone demonstrate techniques which is what this is also about.
Yes — many producers struggle not because they lack skills, but because they lack clarity and confidence in their decisions.
The consultation helps you identify what truly matters in your project so you can move forward and finish with intention instead of doubt. In some cases, we can finish our track as a team, where you’ll see me take decisions, fix problems and wrap it up.
While we might have time in the session to finish the track, in some cases, the clients prefer finishing it on their own, after seeing how I work.
Both options are possible.
You can book a single session for a specific need, or use multiple sessions over time as part of an ongoing mentorship and artistic development process. The advantage of long-term mentorship is that I track your progress and will anticipate your needs, preparing exercises.
Each session lasts approximately 90 minutes. Only one session per day is possible.
The price is only $100 CAD per session.
No.
The consultation is genre-independent and focuses on principles that apply across electronic, experimental, ambient, techno, house, cinematic, and hybrid forms of music. Pheek has over 30 albums in electronic music and has collaborated with multiple artists over the last 25 years. His forté are techno and ambient.
Yes — the session can also include discussion around artistic positioning, labels, releases, and long-term creative direction, depending on your needs. Once the song is finished, some people may have various plans and I can help with that since I have been running labels since 2002.
Most tutorials teach techniques. This is about working on a song, together.
This consultation teaches how to think, listen, decide, and grow as an artist. See it as a dynamic, custom-made tutorial for you only.
It follows a traditional mentorship approach — personal, reflective, honest, and grounded in real experience — rather than quick hacks or rigid formulas.
That’s completely fine. That’s actually a good thing. Discussing with a professional can give you insight on things you didn’t know.
Many people come precisely because they feel unclear. The consultation itself helps clarify where you are, what’s blocking you, and what the next meaningful step should be.
Simply book directly through the product page (link here). After booking, you’ll receive instructions to schedule your Zoom session.
Rescheduling is possible with reasonable notice. Please refer to the booking terms on the product page for details.
Yes. Everything discussed during the consultation is private and treated with respect and discretion. This is to ensure that you can ask questions, even the ones that make you feel embarrassed and not feel judged.
This can happen but there is no refund possible since this is time related services. You will for sure have learnt something but it happens that we can’t finish a song or meet your expectations.
A conversation about workflow and expectations can follow up.
